Indie's Next Summer Preview 2019 -- Independent booksellers have put together of new books that they would recommend reading this summer.
Mayor of Bookopolis Summer Reading Lists -- an online community, created by a mom and avid reader, designed for kids ages 7-12.
ALSC Summer Reading List 2019 -- The Association for Library Services for Children world's largest organization dedicated to the support and enhancement of library service to children. Every year they create summer reading lists for children of all ages.
Downers Grove Public Library -- DGPL librarians have put together lists for all different kinds of readers. Check out their Kids Books page. The also have a summer reading program that is available to every student that attends DG58 schools. Students read a certain amount of books/pages/hours and they can win prizes.
Capstone Interactive eBooks -- Capstone is offering free access to their ebooks for the entire summer. Contact Mrs. Loversky for the login information.
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge -- Join Scholastic summer reading challenge. Click to see a list of suggested reading for various ages in (English) and (Spanish).
Capitol Choices -- Look at their list of recommended reads for 2019.
Brightly--Founded in 2014 by a small team of passionate bookworms and parents, Brightly is a resource to help moms, dads, and educators grow lifelong readers. Launched in partnership with Penguin Random House, the Webby-nominated website features book recommendations from all publishers for every age and stage, reading tips and insights, seasonal inspirations, author essays, contests, gift guides, and more. Summer reads Ages 9-12. Summer reads Ages 6-8.
Reading Rockets Summer Reads--Reading Rockets launched in 2001. It is an education initiative of WETA, the flagship public television and radio station in the nation's capital.
Imagination Soup--Imagination soup is a blog written by Melissa Taylor, a former teacher, literacy coach and mom. Her goal is to help make learning fun, active, and engaging for kids. It is a place where parents and teachers can find great books as well as learning ideas, resources, and community.
